Running viasys alarm detection and intrusion analytics on edge devices like cameras or video streamers minimizes the amount of video data sent over the network and reduces the amount of processing the server has to handle.  This provides more video channels and enables the analytics to work with raw, uncorrupted video before it is compressed. By eliminating the burdensome process of running analytics on remote servers where the video has to be streamed over the network, decompressed, analysed and then recompressed for storage, end users receive very high-quality with extensive, actionable forensic detail.
